Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a full-time Echocardiography Technician for a day shift.

You will perform diagnostic echocardiographic imaging to support patient care and collaborate with the cardiology team. Responsibilities include conducting Exercise Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring Scans, and Pacemaker checks, and communicating clearly with patients to explain procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in related field.
• May substitute degree for graduation from an accredited school of Echocardiography Technology.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic diagnostic imaging to support quality patient care.
• Perform cardiac testing procedures such as Exercise Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring Scanning, and Pacemaker checks to support quality diagnosis & treatment of patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients about the procedure to obtain information and to offer reassurance.

Education

2 year degree in related field

Graduation from an accredited school of Echocardiography Technology (may substitute degree)
