Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking an Echo Tech Sonographer for day shift, PRN coverage. You will perform echocardiographic imaging to support high-quality patient care and support cardiac testing workflows.

Responsibilities include conducting Exercise Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, pacemaker checks, and clear patient communication to explain procedures and reassure patients during exams.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in related field or graduation from an accredited school of Echocardiography Technology.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic diagnostic imaging to support quality patient care.
• Perform cardiac testing procedures such as Exercise Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring Scanning, and Pacemaker checks to support quality diagnosis & treatment of patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients about the procedure to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
