Garden City Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an Echocardiography Technologist to support the Cardiopulmonary Center. You will perform cardiac ultrasounds, obtain measurements of valves and chambers, and assist with TEE tests, contributing to high-quality patient care on a day shift.

Ideal candidates have completed an echocardiography program within 90 days, hold a BCLS, and bring hospital cardiology experience. ARDMS/CCI certification within 90 days is required.

Formación

• Completion of Echocardiogram program within 90 days or equivalent training.
• Current BCLS certification on hire and maintain current.
• Ability to assist physician with TEE testing.
• Previous echocardiography experience across age groups preferred.
• Hospital cardiology experience preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Uses ultrasound to visualize cardiac structures and measure valves, ventricles and left atrium.
• Promotes smooth operation of Cardiopulmonary Department; handles clerical tasks and records.

Responsibilities

Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Completion of Echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or equivalent training required

2. Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain current required

3. Able to assist physician with TEE testing required

4. Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred

5. Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred

6. Effective July 1, 2017 ARDMS or CCI Required within 90 days of hire

7. Proficient computer skills.
