Job summary

Dignity Health - Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and support cardiovascular care with high‑quality imaging. You will operate ultrasound equipment and obtain cardiac images data for cardiologist interpretation.

You will select the proper probes, ensure patient comfort, and perform a full range of echocardiographic studies while maintaining patient safety. CPR/BLS and RDMS/RDCS credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–3 years of experience performing 2-D, M-Mode, and Color Flow Doppler Echos on adults.
• Graduate from a Cardiac Echo ultrasound program.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required at hire.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) required at hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required at hire.
• RDCS Adult Echo, RDCS Fetal Echo, and RDCS Pediatric Echo credentials preferred.
• Experience in pediatric echocardiography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data.
• Ensure patient comfort and perform a range of echocardiographic studies.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.
Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.
To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

Operation of Cardiac Ultra Sound Equipment
Able to perform a complete array of Diagnostic Ultra Sound Procedures as ordered by a Physician.
Able to select proper probe to obtain excellent results for Cardiologist interpretation.
Able to trouble shoot equipment in determining possible failure.
Uses positioning and immobilization devices as appropriate in safe and effective manner

Preferred

• Experience and competence in performing Echos on Pediatric patients, upon hire
