Job summary

UP Health System Portage is seeking an Echo sonographer to join our team. This 1.0 FTE position offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with days and varied 10- or 12-hour shifts.

The role includes performing noninvasive cardiovascular studies, patient greeting, explaining procedures, and maintaining equipment. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible external employees.

Qualifications

• Registered sonographer or registry eligibility.
• BLS certification required.
• Formal training in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Perform noninvasive diagnostic cardiovascular studies and clerical duties.
• Receive patients, explain method of procedure and ensure comfort.
• Provide patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and organize work areas.
• Keep accurate records and assist with scheduling and patient flow.
