Job Summary

This position involves providing individualized, direct patient care through a variety of sonographic procedures and tests, including electrocardiograms, stress tests, echocardiograms (2D/M Mode, Doppler, Color Flow), Exercise Stress Echo, and Dobutamine Stress Echo. Responsibilities include compiling patient history and diagnostic information, presenting preliminary findings, and maintaining a high standard of personalized patient care while fostering positive relationships with the healthcare team.

Qualifications
Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

Required: None; Preferred: 1 year experience in cardiac ultrasound

Certifications

Required: Active RDCS registry through ARDMS or RCS registry through CCI within 6 months of hire; BLS from the American Heart Association

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency with computer skills and data entry
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency with Windows applications and role-specific software
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidentiality
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Flexibility in work hours
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, Doppler physics, and blood flow hemodynamics
  • Skills to identify stenosis or occlusion and assist with interventional procedures
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive patient care
