Job summary

Self Regional Medical Center in Edgefield, SC seeks an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for night shift. You will deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diverse emergency cases.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and support staff, documenting care accurately, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• BLS certification at time of hire.
• ACLS within 1 year.
• Basic and Advanced Arrhythmia within 1 year.
• Arrhythmia coursework completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to ER patients using the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation).
• Coordinate and delegate care with other professionals and ancillary staff.
• Communicate findings to the appropriate team members.
• Adhere to educational hour requirements and department policies.

Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work. Coordinates and delegates the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel. Communicates findings as indicated to appropriate person(s). Must adhere to (meet) the requirements for educational hours. Performs any other job related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Director.
