Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform all ECG related procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
• Executes basic ECG procedure and answers patient questions.
• Performs 12-lead ECGs and rhythm strips within one hour of order; 15-lead and right-sided ECGs.
• Place leads accurately based on cardiothoracic anatomy.
• Coordinate outpatient testing with inpatient demands; prioritize emergencies.
• Apply and remove holter and event monitors; instruct patients on use.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Complete forms and requests pertaining to the procedure.
