Job summary

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking a Journey ECG Tech to perform electrocardiograms, rhythm strips, and related cardiac monitoring tasks, ensuring equipment functionality and supporting patient care during emergencies.

This role requires a high school diploma, a TEE probe cleaning certificate, BLS, and at least one year of ECG/EKG experience. The Journey level includes ongoing certification in Cardiographic Technician as they progress.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED (required).
• TEE Probe cleaning certificate coursework/training (required).
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire (required).
• 1 year experience as an Associate ECG technician or 1 year ECG/EKG experience (required).
• 6 months experience as EMT/Corpsman/MA or related field (preferred).
• Coursework/Training: Certified Cardiographic Technician in process (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs), rhythm strips and related cardiac monitoring tasks.
• Ensure ECG equipment functionality and readiness for patient care.
• Support patient care during cardiac emergencies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Manage holter heart monitor processes.
• Provide patient education and develop proficiency in cardiac rhythms.
