Job summary

Bethel School District is seeking an instructional paraeducator to support instructors in meal preparation, student supervision, and learning activities. The role involves classroom and on-site supervision, with responsibilities for student behavior and progress documentation.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete the Fundamental Course of Studies (FCS) and General Paraeducator Certificate of the state mandated Paraeducator Certificate Program per State requirements.
• Federal minimum employment requirements: at least 18 years old, high school diploma or equivalent, and one of several qualifying options.

Responsibilities

• Assists instructor with activities for students, including meal preparation and cleanup.
• Instructs students individually or in small groups, monitors behavior and supervises activities on playground, gym and off-site events.
• Maintains records, attendance, meal counts and other program documentation.
• Reports to Director of Special Services and aligns with assigned certificated staff.
