Job summary

YMCA of the Inland Northwest in Cheney, WA, is seeking an ECEAP Family Services Coordinator for the EWU Children's Center on a part-time basis. This role supports enrollment, family outreach, and coordination of social services for families in the Early Childhood Assistance Program.

You will work with diverse families, conduct trainings for parents, maintain enrollment records, and connect participants to community resources, while upholding confidentiality and program standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Social Science, or related field
• May be substituted with at least four years of related work experience
• At least two years of experience in Social Work
• Passes TB test and a background check
• Holds or is eligible for CPR/AED, First Aid, and BBP certifications
• Holds Valid Driver’s License and vehicle to use in program (mileage reimbursement available)
• Ability to form positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
• Proof of MMR vaccination is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts enrollment activities, interviews parents to determine program eligibility, verifies income and obtains necessary permission for ECEAP activities, and obtains health records for students while ensuring full enrollment and opportunity for families in need.
• Demonstrates acceptance, inclusivity, relationship-building, and YMCA Character Development with all types of family groupings and use materials that reflect nontraditional families
• Determines family social service needs and supports them in working with agencies and community organizations to coach self-sufficiency
• Plans, conducts, and facilitates trainings and orientations for ECEAP parents focused on parenting skills, child growth and development, school participation, leadership, and parent rights and responsibilities in ECEAP
• Provides counseling, referral, emergency assistance and crisis intervention to ECEAP families, ensuring confidentiality and support
• Facilitates involvement of parents of ECEAP through parent meetings, center committees, parent volunteer activities, home visits, support of Policy Council and other strategies.
• Maintains accurate records regarding all center activities, including enrollment information, family needs assessment and referrals, follow-up made and all other required records.
• Participates in YMCA orientations/meetings and ECEAP in-service training and meetings.
