Job summary

Child Care Action Council (CCAC) is seeking a Bus/Van Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and field trips, ensuring safety and compliance with state laws. The role requires driving buses or vans, performing inspections, and coordinating with school personnel and families.

The incumbent will maintain vehicles, follow safety protocols, and participate in ongoing professional development while supporting CCAC's mission to nurture early learning communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Washington State driver’s license (Van driver).
• A Valid CDL with passenger endorsement (Bus driver).
• DCYF Portable Background Check.
• Infant/Child CPR/First Aid certification (Employer Provided).

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned school vans for transporting passengers on scheduled routes and excursions in a safe, legal, and timely manner.
• Develop bus routes to achieve program objectives.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safe operation and compliance with state requirements.
• Assist passengers with safe loading/unloading and emergency situations.
• Maintain assigned vehicles and records for compliance and safety.
