Job summary

Auxilio is hiring a School Van Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for students. This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and a clean background. The position emphasizes safety, daily pre/post trip inspections, and compassionate interaction with children.

Preference for 1+ year driving experience, early shift availability, and completion of van pre-service class (Auxilio will cover the cost).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Driver License required.
Minimum 1-year of driving preferred.
Subject to Background Check and Drug Screen.
Subject to Motor Vehicle Review.
Two (2) years working with children preferred.
Good verbal communication skills with a strong attendance record.
Good with children of all ages and the ability to manage stressful situations.
Early morning and afternoon availability preferred but not required.
Committed to a Safety Lifestyle.
Van pre service class either online or on site preferred; Auxilio will pay for the certification.

Responsibilities

Safely transports passengers.
Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections.
Assists students in loading and unloading process.
Adhere to company policies and procedures including local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Familiar with school bus routes and remains alert to monitor welfare of passengers.
Attend safety, training and informational meetings.
Conduct emergency evacuation drills, as required.
Always adhere to FERPA regulations and remain confidential.
Performs other duties as assigned.
