YWCA York seeks an ECE Off‑Site Coordinator to oversee PKC classrooms at Valley View Elementary and Canadochly Elementary, ensuring high‑quality early childhood education, licensing and funding compliance, and strong program operations across sites.

You will lead teaching staff, coordinate scheduling, monitor files, support onboarding and professional development, and serve as the liaison between off‑site classrooms and ECE Administration, traveling between sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Human Services, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an early childhood leadership role required.
  • Experience with Pre-K Counts, licensing regulations, staff supervision, and compliance monitoring preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of PKC classrooms at Valley View and Canadochly and other off-site locations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to teaching staff to ensure high-quality educational services.
  • Conduct regular classroom visits and observations to monitor program quality and staff performance.
  • Assist staff with curriculum implementation, assessments, and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Maintain ability to work directly in classrooms and provide coverage to meet child-to-staff ratio requirements.
  • Create staffing schedules and coordinate classroom coverage during staff absences.
  • Assist staff with addressing classroom concerns, family issues, and operational challenges.
  • Monitor and review child and staff files to ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained for audits, licensing reviews, and funding requirements.
  • Communicate updates to the ECE Operations Officer and Director of Education and Compliance.
  • Support onboarding, training, and professional development of staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with families, school district personnel, and community partners.
  • Travel between assigned sites as necessary to provide oversight and coordination.

Job Title: ECE Off‑Site Coordinator
Department: Early Childhood Education

Summary:

The ECE Off‑Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and program quality of Pre‑K Counts (PKC) classrooms located at Valley View Elementary, Canadochly Elementary, and future expansion sites as assigned. This position provides leadership, support, and direction to classroom staff while ensuring compliance with all funding, licensing, and agency requirements. The ECE Off‑Site Coordinator serves as a liaison between off‑site classrooms and ECE Administration and assists with staffing, scheduling, classroom support, and file monitoring to maintain high‑quality early childhood education services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of PKC classrooms at Valley View, Canadochly, and other assigned off‑site locations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to teaching staff to ensure high‑quality educational services and classroom management practices.
  • Conduct regular classroom visits and observations to monitor program quality, compliance, and staff performance.
  • Assist classroom staff in implementing curriculum, assessments, and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Maintain the ability to work directly in classrooms and provide coverage as needed to ensure compliance with child‑to‑staff ratio requirements.
  • Create and maintain staffing schedules for assigned sites and coordinate classroom coverage during staff absences.
  • Assist staff with addressing classroom concerns, family issues, and operational challenges while promoting positive solutions.
  • Monitor and review child and staff files regularly to ensure documentation is complete, current, and compliant with licensing, funding, and agency requirements.
  • Ensure required documentation is maintained for audits, monitoring visits, licensing reviews, and funding agency requirements.
  • Communicate program updates, concerns, staffing needs, and compliance issues to the ECE Operations Officer and Director of Education and Compliance.
  • Support onboarding, training, and professional development of staff as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with families, school district personnel, and community partners.
  • Promote and uphold all YWCA York policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Travel between assigned sites as necessary to provide oversight, support, and coordination of items.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the ECE Operations Officer and/or Chief Program Officer.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily oversight and direction to staff at assigned off‑site ECE locations.
  • Support teaching teams to ensure high‑quality learning environments and services for children and families.
  • Monitor staff adherence to program standards, policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Assist with coaching, performance feedback, and accountability measures as appropriate.
  • Support the supervision of assigned staff in accordance with YWCA York policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of (1) year of experience in an early childhood education program leadership position is required.
  • Experience with Pre‑K Counts, early childhood licensing regulations, staff supervision, and compliance monitoring preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
