Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools is hiring for an Exceptional Child Education paraprofessional in Louisville. The role supports students with disabilities in MSD, MMD, OHI, EBD, AUT, VI, HI, LD, and related areas, under ECE programs.

Responsibilities include aiding implementation of each student's IEP, maintaining a safe learning environment, and collaborating with the ECE team. Requires a high school diploma or GED and Kentucky Paraeducator prerequisites. Training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Passing score on the KPA (Kentucky Paraeducator Exam) or 48 college semester hours.
• Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities

• Help establish and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
• Display willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities
