Job summary

Starfish Family Services is seeking a Center Support I or II in Detroit to assist in the ECE Center operations. You will support classroom activities and assist in the kitchen, ensuring a well-organized learning environment and compliance with CACFP and Head Start standards.

The role requires a minimum high school diploma or GED, with CDA preferred. Food handler's permit or Serve Safe certification is preferred. A valid driver's license or reliable transportation is also required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily programming for preschool children in the classroom.
• Support individual children in need of special attention and care.
• Maintain safety and emotional security of the children in the classroom.
• Assist with kitchen duties: prepare/serve food, maintain CACFP guidelines and records, ensure substitutions for food restrictions are provided.
• Ensure kitchen and classroom environments are safe and clean.
