Job summary

Montessori Kids Universe Bannockburn is seeking a dedicated Montessori Lead Teacher to guide early learners in a nurturing, independent environment. You will implement prepared Montessori lessons, foster a caring classroom culture, and mentor assistants while engaging families to support child growth and development.

Qualifications

• Montessori certification from an accredited training center is desirable—training is possible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum one year of full‑time teaching experience in early childhood.
• Strong leadership, supervision, and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States; CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead a Montessori‑prepared environment supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Plan and implement Montessori lessons and activities for individual learners.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom with age‑appropriate materials.
• Foster a positive, respectful, nurturing climate promoting independence and self‑confidence.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers and collaborate with staff on curriculum.
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in conferences and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing and Montessori accreditation standards.

As a Montessori Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in guiding children toward independence and success while fostering a warm and collaborative classroom culture.

Responsibilities

Classroom Leadership & Teaching

• Lead a Montessori-prepared environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Plan and implement Montessori lessons and activities tailored to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Ensure the classroom is organized, safe, and well‑prepared with age‑appropriate materials.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and nurturing environment that promotes independence and self‑confidence.
• Maintain a normalized classroom, ensuring children have opportunities to develop coordination, concentration, independence, and order.

Parent & Community Engagement

• Build strong relationships with families by communicating regularly about student progress.
• Conduct parent‑teacher conferences and provide progress reports to discuss child development.
• Collaborate with parents and staff to create a supportive learning environment at school and at home.

Staff Development & Team Collaboration

• Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers, ensuring a cohesive teaching team.
• Collaborate with staff members to create enriching curriculum experiences.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and Montessori accreditation standards.
• Maintain student records and progress documentation.
• Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures to provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment.

Qualifications
