Job summary

Marshall County Schools seeks an Aide/ECCAT to support classroom instruction under the teacher's direction. You will assist in preparing materials, supervise students, and help with academic, behavioral, and social development activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ECCAT certification, with training in first aid and safety protocols. Eligible for 200-day, normal contract, with flexible scheduling around bus runs and student needs.

Qualifications

• Must have reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics competency.
• Must obtain ECCAT certification per WVDE requirements.
• Demonstrate verbal and written expression and the ability to follow instructions.
• Demonstrate ability to manage young children with positive behavioral strategies.
• Must pass WV Service Personnel test for Aide.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional activities under teacher direction, providing individual and small group student support.
• Assist in preparing and organizing instructional materials.
• Assist with student supervision to maintain a safe environment.
• Support student academic, behavioral and social development.
• Assist students with personal care and daily living needs as required.
