Job summary

Capital Cardiology Associates is seeking a skilled ECA and Diagnostic Testing Nurse to join our team in Schenectady. You will perform urgent cardiovascular assessments, run EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and other screenings, ensuring prompt and accurate care.

Work with the cardiology team to interpret results, educate patients on heart health, and maintain accurate EHR documentation in a fast-paced clinic setting. Must have NYS RN license and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

  • Active NYS RN license in good standing.
  • Experience in cardiology, cardiac diagnostic testing, or critical care nursing.
  • Proficient in performing EKGs, stress tests, and other cardiac diagnostics.
  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular conditions, treatments, and diagnostic processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic tests, including EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and other cardiovascular screenings.
  • Assist in interpreting diagnostic results and communicating findings to the cardiology team and patients.
  • Provide patients with explanations of procedures, post-procedure care, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Administer medications, provide wound care, and monitor patients as needed.
  • Educate patients about cardiovascular health, preventative measures, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Document patient interactions, test results, and other information in the EHR system.
  • Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and equipped for diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families during visits.

Our Enhanced Cardiac Access walk‑in clinic and Diagnostic Testing departments offer patients immediate access to expert care for cardiovascular issues. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our dynamic team, delivering outstanding patient care while supporting a wide range of diagnostic and clinical services in the field of cardiology.

Position Overview

As an ECA and Diagnostic Testing Nurse, you will play a key role in providing urgent care for patients presenting with cardiovascular symptoms and assisting with various diagnostic tests. You will work closely with our cardiology team to ensure that patients receive prompt and accurate assessments, diagnostic services, and follow‑up care in a fast‑paced and supportive environment.

Compensation
