Job summary

Western Rockingham Middle is seeking an EC Teacher Assistant to support the teacher in delivering instruction to students and to assist with various classroom activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with academic tasks, preparing learning aids, and supervising students to maintain a productive learning environment. A bus license may be required in the role; starting date is immediate.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school is required.
• An associate’s degree, 48 semester hours, or WorkKeys level 4+ in all three portions (Applied Math, Graphic Literacy & Workplace Documents) is required.
• Equivalent training/experience may be accepted by the local board.
• Willingness to obtain a bus license as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance and individualized instruction as prescribed by the teacher.
• Prepare visual aids and instructional materials; assist with testing and classroom setup.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain orderly classroom environment.
• Record attendance and health data as required; report progress to the teacher and supervisor.
