Qualifications

• 48 semester hours including core courses with a 2.5 GPA or higher from an accredited institution, OR an Associate Degree or higher with a 2.5 GPA or higher.
• WorkKeys testing in Math (min score 4), Reading (min score 4), and Writing (min score 3).
• Requires lifting of 15+ pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the teacher with planning, organizing, evaluating instruction and collecting data on IEP goals and behavior plans.
• Assist the teacher in maintaining a safe and healthful classroom environment.
• Help students understand school and classroom rules and regulations.
• Assist students in maintaining cleanliness and neatness.
• Interact effectively with students, teachers, administrators, co-workers, parents and community.
• Model positive behavior at all times.
