Job summary

Lincoln County Schools in Lincolnton, NC seeks an EC Sub Safety Attendant in the Transportation Department. This temporary, part-time role handles 2–4 hours per day as needed across a 10-month period, reporting to the Transportation Coordinator.

Compensation starts at $15/hour and varies with years of service in the NC State Retirement System. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to perform heavy lifting, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision once the job is learned
• Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to read, write and keep records
• Ability to perform simple calculations
• Other duties as assigned

The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant’s years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position. Experience outside of this system is not recognized for pay purposes. For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools’ pay scale.
