Qualifications

• Requires NC DHHS background check and approval letter.
• Needs Health and Safety training within first year and every 5 years.
• Requires CPR/First Aid training within 90 days of employment.
• Requires Recognizing and Responding to Suspicions of Child Maltreatment training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher with planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one assistance with academics and behavioral needs.
• Lead small group activities as directed by teacher.
• Assist with housekeeping and clerical duties to maintain classroom operations.
• Maintain records of student progress and attendance.
• Ensure safety and supervision of students at all times.
