Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement: Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA certification.
• Experience working in an educational environment (substitute teaching, tutoring, etc.)
• This position requires special certification!

Responsibilities

• Reinforce lessons presented by teachers one-on-one or in small groups.
• Enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behavior.
• Help teachers with recordkeeping, such as tracking attendance and calculating grades.
• Help teachers prepare for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up equipment.
• Supervise students in class, between classes, during lunch and recess, and on field trips.
• Participates in in-service programs as assigned.
• Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with other educational professionals to support students.
• Observes confidentiality and safeguards student information.
• Reports to the supervising teacher about student incidents or variances or complaints.
