Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is actively seeking an Application Engineer for EC Motors to support EC motor solutions across HVAC, refrigeration, data centers, and industrial fans. You will size, select, and integrate motors, engage OEMs, and prepare technical and commercial proposals.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering, 2+ years in EC/PMAC/BLDC motors, knowledge of NEMA/IEC standards, and travel up to 10%. Strong English communication and ERP/MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience with EC/PMAC/BLDC motors or variable-speed drive systems.
• Knowledge of NEMA MG1 and IEC motor efficiency standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for EC motor selection, sizing, and integration; generate torque-speed curves and thermal derating analyses.
• Lead technical engagement with OEM equipment manufacturers to secure motor specifications in new product development cycles.
• Prepare and deliver detailed technical and commercial proposals; work with product management and factory engineering.
• Conduct product demonstrations, application workshops, and training sessions for customers and staff on EC motor technology and standards.
• Identify and develop new application opportunities in target verticals like HVAC, refrigeration, data center cooling, and industrial fans.
• Interpret and apply standards (NEMA MG1, IEC 60034, DOE) and support energy efficiency certifications.
• Provide on-site commissioning assistance and troubleshoot EC motor installations; coordinate with factory support teams.
• Gather customer feedback and communicate trends and improvement requests to product management.
