Rome City Schools is seeking dedicated Early Childhood Teachers for anticipated vacancies at EastCentral Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Position is certified salary schedule and 190 work days, with a salaried-exempt pay type, reporting to the Principal.

Retirement is through TRS and TKES is the evaluation instrument. Starting date is immediate; minimum qualifications include a valid Georgia Educator Certificate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

A valid Georgia Educator Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Goal:

Provide instruction; encourage and assess student achievement and progress; and manage the learning environment effectively.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.


• Provides instruction that is appropriate to the standards of the courses being taught.


• Exhibits professionalism in all job-related situations; follows professional ethics in all work related activities; presents a personal appearance which enhances the image of the school.


• Assumes a fair share of outside-the-classroom school responsibilities.


• Adheres to local school procedures and regulations in a supportive manner; demonstrates loyalty to the school and its leadership; avoids behavior which detracts from staff morale; works cooperatively with colleagues and the community; helps maintain a positive, cooperative climate.
