Job summary

Four Oaks Elementary in Johnston County Public Schools is seeking an EC General Curriculum Teacher Assistant and Bus Driver (HQ) to support classroom instruction and transportation needs. Qualifications

• Must meet Highly Qualified Status by possessing one of: a 2/4 year degree, 48 semester hours, or Pathways to TA Class with WorkKeys test.
• Working knowledge of effective methods for dealing with children.
• Ability to solve minor problems and follow detailed written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Gives group instruction and provides individualized instruction as prescribed by teacher.
• Praises and reinforces achievement; reports student progress to teacher.
• Prepares visual aids and duplicates materials; arranges classroom furnishings.
• Proctors during testing and scores papers as instructed.
• Monitors student behavior and promotes positive conduct.
