Qualifications

• Previous experience with students is desirable.
• Certification in Crisis Intervention Program to support students in a specialized setting may be required to maintain proper renewal timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with individual, small group, or large group instruction.
• Reinforce learning and devise strategies based on student needs and abilities.
• Supervise activities and manage behavior in line with school policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and communicate with parents as directed by the teacher.
• Provide health procedures under supervision of the school nurse and assist with clerical tasks as needed.
