Job summary

Lincoln Elementary in Rockingham County is seeking an EC Bus Monitor to assist exceptional students on the bus, help them enter and exit safely, and seat them in their designated locations.

The role includes monitoring behavior, reporting concerns to the appropriate authority, and stepping in as substitute driver when needed. A high school diploma is required and willingness to obtain a bus driver's license.

Citizenship/residency/work eligibility required; pay grade 50; immediate start.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Skill in lifting and placing students comfortably


• Skill in accurately operating and adjusting the special equipment


• Ability to learn and remember the bus route


• Ability to understand the individual needs of exceptional students
