Qualifications

• Graduation from high school.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of basic needs and developmental stages of children.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Discusses assigned duties with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Prepares and develops teaching aids and materials.
• Supervises groups in various school areas such as cafeteria, library and playground.
• Assists students individually or in groups with assignments to reinforce learning.
• Maintains classroom cleanliness and supports staff as needed.
