Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking an Overlay Support Technician to backfill EBPVD coating operations in a manufacturing environment. You will prepare tooling, set up coating chambers, and support production activities to ensure equipment readiness, process compliance, and product quality.

The role requires reading process specifications, performing coater turnarounds, and maintaining EBPVD tooling. Shift is 4th, Fri-Sun, 7:00am–7:00pm, with wage starting at $28.64/hr and 90-day training on 1st shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow process specifications and work instructions.
• Ability to perform EBPVD coater turnarounds and support coating equipment maintenance.
• Ability to set up chamber surveys, rakes, and tooling as per procedures.
• Ability to grit, prepare, maintain, and inspect EBPVD tooling.
• Ability to safely operate ovens and related equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tooling, equipment, and production materials for EBPVD coating operations.
• Perform turnarounds of EBPVD coaters and support coating process equipment.
• Set up coating chambers, surveys, rakes, and tooling per instructions.
• Grind, prepare, maintain, and inspect EBPVD tooling.
• Prepare, build, and process EBPVD rakes for production use.
• Operate ovens, grit machines, and related prep equipment.
• Read and follow process specs, work instructions, and part requirements.
• Support production schedules while maintaining quality and process compliance.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
