Job summary

Transforming Age in Lincoln, NE is seeking a part-time Server for our Eastmont Living community. The role involves assisting residents with meal selections, presenting menus, taking and relaying orders, and delivering meals in a timely, friendly manner.

Ideal candidates will have server experience, familiarity with POS systems, and strong English communication skills. A background check and pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• At least 19 years of age.
• Previous server experience highly preferred.
• 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) systems.
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meal selection, including ordering from menu or buffet items.
• Present menu to residents, answer questions and make recommendations.
• Record orders and relay to kitchen; know ingredients and preparation methods.
• Deliver food to residents and assist as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for next service.
• May assist with kitchen duties and other assigned tasks.

Eastmont - Server Part-Time

This role pays $15.50 per hour.

The shift for this role is 4:30p to 7:30 p

What you need to succeed:

• At least 19 years of age.
• Previous server experience highly preferred.
• 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen, may need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical and TB test as required by state/local guidelines.

Our Servers:

• Assist residents with meal selection, which may include ordering from menu, buffet/a la carte item selection, and assistance with any buffet stations (e.g. salad bar, breakfast bar.) as needed.
• Present menu to residents, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding meal choices.
  Records orders and relays to kitchen production area. Is knowledgeable about menu choices, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Works efficiently and quickly delivers food to residents, aiding them as needed.
• Clears, cleans, and resets tables for next meal service.
• May assist with kitchen duties (including such tasks as salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee or other services as needed.
• Assists with clearing table.
• Observes residents to ensure safety in our dining areas.
