Job summary

Transforming Age's Eastmont living community in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Floor Tech (Custodian). The position offers $16.00–$18.00 per hour DOE and a role dedicated to keeping hallways and common areas clean, safe, and welcoming for residents.

You must be 18+, have 1–3 years of floor care experience, and be able to operate floor cleaning machines and handle related chemicals. You will work five days per week, eight hours per day, and take pride in delivering the cleanest floors in town.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of floor care experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate shampooing machines and know cleaning solutions.
• Willing to work 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
• Experience in senior living or hospitality is not required but desired.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all floors using carpet, tile, linoleum, LVT, and wood care.
• Keep equipment and supplies clean, organized, and stocked.
• Sweep, mop, shampoo floors and operate floor cleaning machines.
• Respond quickly to spills and sanitize public areas.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.

The hourly rate for this role starts at $16.00 to $18.00 DOE.

What you need to succeed:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

• One to three years floor care experience.
• Previous experience in a senior living community or hospitality setting is not required but is highly desired.
• Can-do attitude and work ethic.
• Must be able to operate shampooing machines and have knowledge of the floor care chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Be able to reliably work 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
• Self-motivated and a desire to have the cleanest floors in town.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to lift/push/pull or carry up to 50 lbs.

Our Floor Tech:

• Cleans and maintains all floors (carpet, LVT, tile, linoleum, wood, etc.).
• Keeps equipment and supplies clean, neat, organized, and filled.
• Sweeps, mops, shampoos and operates floor cleaning machines.
• Responds quickly to spills.
• Cleans and sanitizes public areas (hallways, restrooms, dining areas, etc.)
• Provides excellent customer service to our residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
