Job summary

Washington Military Department seeks an Eastern WA EMD Field Representative / Emergency Management Program Specialist 3 to support senior level emergency management coordination. You will develop and maintain relationships with LEPCs and TEPCs and serve as an EMD representative to local, state, and federal partners in Eastern Washington.

The role is non-permanent through June 2027, with potential telework eligibility and travel.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as an Emergency Management Program Specialist 2; OR a Bachelor's degree with four years of professional level emergency management experience.
• Experience with LEPC/TEPC coordination and hazard mitigation planning is preferred.
• Ability to work with executive level decision-makers and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support LEPC/TEPC hazard materials planning and all-hazards emergency management activities.
• Serve as regional liaison to local jurisdictions and state/federal partners.
• Assist in training, exercises, and planning products as directed.
