Job summary

Penn State University’s Upward Bound Programs in the Office of Educational Equity invites applications for Assistant Director - East. The role leads coordination, assessment, and supervision of major UB components, including weekend academies, summer programs, and staff oversight in Hazleton and Reading Districts.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience, strong evaluation skills, and proficiency in Excel, databases, and social media.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; 6+ years of relevant experience
• Experience planning, coordinating, and supervising instructional services
• Experience with federally funded TRIO programs preferred
• Proficiency in Excel, databases, and social media platforms

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate UBP staff
• Coordinate program activities including weekend academies and the six-week summer academy
• Develop and administer budgets for grant projects
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and annual performance reporting
