Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, seeks an experienced Area Operations Manager to lead asphalt plant operations across East Texas. You will champion safety, drive production efficiency, and develop high-performing teams while coordinating with sales, construction, and customers to deliver reliable service.

This role oversees multiple facilities, manages budgets and maintenance, and leads capital projects to improve uptime and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of experience in asphalt operations, heavy civil construction, aggregates, construction materials, manufacturing, or a related industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple asphalt plants across East Texas.
• Foster a strong safety culture where every employee goes home safely each day.
• Coach and develop plant managers and operational teams.
• Drive production efficiency, equipment reliability, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee budgets, maintenance programs, and supply chain coordination.
• Lead capital improvement initiatives and major investments to improve uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with sales, construction, and customers to align production with project needs.
