Placements24 is seeking a Commercial Insurance Broker to join our client’s team in East London. You will identify business needs, source coverage from multiple insurers, and build lasting client relationships while advising on risk management and policy terms.

The role requires strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills, with knowledge of Commercial Property, BI, Public Liability, and Fleet. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as Commercial Insurance Broker or similar sales role.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Property, Business Interruption, Public Liability, Fleet.
• Excellent sales, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with business clients.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Relevant industry qualifications and licenses (FAIS, RE 1 & RE 5).
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and standard office software.
• Proactive, driven, client-centric approach.
• Understanding of the Eastern Cape business landscape is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of commercial clients.
• Assess client needs and calculate appropriate insurance cover.
• Source and present quotations from multiple insurers.
• Advise on coverage, risk management and policy terms.
• Negotiate terms and premiums with insurers.
• Manage placement of new business and renewals with complete docs.
• Handle client inquiries, claims support, and policy changes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the brokerage professionally in the East London community.
