Scoot Education is seeking a dedicated substitute teacher to support classrooms in East County, SD, CA. You’ll supervise students, reinforce routines, and follow lesson plans while maintaining a positive, inclusive environment.

Ideal candidates hold a teaching credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit, or have related experience, and may have bilingual skills. Scoot offers training, support, and flexible opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher.
• Communicate clearly with school staff and leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.
