Qualifications

As Quality Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring product consistency, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining the integrity of the plant's quality management systems. Based at our East Canton refractory manufacturing facility, you will lead a team of quality technicians, partner closely with production and technical teams, and help shape strategic decisions that impact plant performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Lead and promote a strong culture of safety, ensuring all quality activities align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Plan and execute internal quality audits while coordinating external certification activities.

Analyze process and quality data to identify trends, reduce variation, and improve product consistency.

Partner with production, technical, and customer-facing teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of quality technicians, fostering accountability and professional growth.

Track, report, and communicate key quality metrics to support operational and strategic decision-making.

What You Bring

5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related industrial environment. Experience in refractories, ceramics, metals, or materials processing is highly preferred.

Strong working knowledge of ISO quality systems, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.

Proven ability to analyze data, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software tools.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple functions.
