Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Small Commercial Sales Manager to drive new business flow for small commercial (<$50K accounts) by educating and collaborating with agency staff and communicating risk appetite. You will build and sustain agency relationships while partnering with Specialty and Middle Market Underwriters to support growth and retention.

In this role, you will work with Account Managers to produce new business, bind when needed, and develop targeted business mixes. Strong sales, underwriting knowledge, and relationship skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3–5 years' Commercial Lines Underwriting and/or Marketing experience.
• Professional designation such as CPCU, CIC is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive small commercial lines new business flow with account managers.
• Bind small accounts in the agent's office when needed.
• Collaborate with underwriting team to target mix of business.
• Influence producers/agents to sell desired products and services.
• Develop and maintain cooperative relationships across the organization.
• Achieve new business submissions and grow agency relationships.
