Job summary

Muller, Inc. in Northern Virginia is seeking an Earthworks Manager to lead and optimize earthwork operations, aggregates production, and logistics across projects in the region.

The ideal candidate has at least five years’ aggregates experience, strong production process knowledge, safety emphasis, and excellent communication. You will coordinate with estimating, project teams, and logistics partners to reduce costs and improve efficiency across Maryland, Virginia and DC.

Qualifications

• At minimum 5 years of experience in aggregates.
• Strong understanding of production processes.
• Resourceful, analytical and creative thinking skills.
• Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Adaptable to fast pace and growing operation.
• Ability to multitask and strong time management skills.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Network with industry partners to arrange dirt and aggregate import/export.
• Analyze ways to increase profit by improving dirt and aggregate efficiency.
• Propose cost-reduction and revenue-increase ideas.
• Identify sites for dirt and aggregate disposal.
• Develop an aggregates recycling plan.
• Coordinate with project teams to align schedules and reduce dirt/aggregate costs.
• Work with estimating team to price aggregate costs considering timing.
• Coordinate with hauling and logistics partners to form long‑term partnerships.
