This position requires skill, precision, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity on construction or rail/industrial job sites. Responsible for operating heavy equipment to support rail track construction projects.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Operate heavy equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and other grading equipment safely and efficiently* Perform fine and rough grading according to plans, specifications, and supervisor direction* Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and job specifications* Maintain proper slopes, drainage, and elevations* Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete required documentation* Perform basic equipment maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, minor adjustments)* Communicate effectively with supervisors, ground personnel, and other operators* Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements* Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately* Assist with other job site duties as assigned when not operating equipment**QUALIFICATIONS:**The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential duties of this position. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization**D.** **Mathematical Skills**Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.**E.** **Reasoning Ability**Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with the typical problems that occur in track construction.**F.** **Certificates/Licenses/Registrations**Certification required if operating on track controlled by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
