Responsibilities

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
• Load, unload, or identify materials, machinery, or tools and distribute them to the correct locations
• Control traffic near work zones with training provided
• Signal equipment operators to help align or move machinery
• Dig ditches or trenches and backfill excavations using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes
• May need to enter trenches or confined spaces after training
• Understand and comply with safety requirements as directed by Foreman/Supervisor
