Job summary

Phillips Infrastructure is seeking a construction laborer to perform physical tasks at job sites, assist other workers, and operate a variety of hand and power tools as needed.

You will clean and prepare sites, load materials, control traffic near work zones, assist with signaling equipment operators, dig trenches, and contribute to safety as directed by the foreman. A pre-employment physical examination is required as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction sites performing manual labor and material handling.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools as described in the posting.
• Must complete pre-employment physical examination as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools while distributing them to the appropriate locations
• Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones with appropriate training provided
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials with appropriate training provided
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes
• May be required to enter trenches and/or confined spaces after receiving proper training
• Understand and comply with safety considerations as set herein and as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor
