Position: Earth Sciences Expert (Olympiad or PhD)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $52.5/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Research and identify advanced earth sciences questions and academic resources from international sources.
• Curate and organize earth sciences materials into structured datasets for AI training.
• Evaluate and ensure scientific accuracy and appropriate difficulty of sourced problems.
• Extract and document detailed reasoning frameworks and analytical approaches from academic materials.
• Support multilingual and cross-disciplinary earth sciences problem-solving for frontier AI systems.

Requirements

• Strong background in earth sciences with either International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) experience or a PhD in earth sciences.
• Proven ability to assess rigor, complexity, and correctness of advanced earth sciences problems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Multilingual experience or familiarity with international earth sciences resources is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
