Position: Earth Sciences Expert (Olympiad or PhD)
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $52.5/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Research and identify advanced earth sciences questions and academic resources from international sources.
- Curate and organize earth sciences materials into structured datasets for AI training.
- Evaluate and ensure scientific accuracy and appropriate difficulty of sourced problems.
- Extract and document detailed reasoning frameworks and analytical approaches from academic materials.
- Support multilingual and cross-disciplinary earth sciences problem-solving for frontier AI systems.
Requirements
- Strong background in earth sciences with either International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) experience or a PhD in earth sciences.
- Proven ability to assess rigor, complexity, and correctness of advanced earth sciences problems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Multilingual experience or familiarity with international earth sciences resources is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
