Base pay range: $50.00/hr - $100.00/hr

Position: Competitive Math Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $50–$100/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Apply competitive mathematics expertise to design and evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning and solutions.
• Review advanced math problems and solutions for accuracy, rigor, and logical soundness.
• Assess reasoning depth, clarity, and problem-solving strategies across algebra, combinatorics, number theory, and geometry.
• Provide structured, high-quality feedback to improve AI reasoning and performance.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to refine mathematical benchmarks and evaluation standards.

Qualifications

• Strong background in competitive mathematics (e.g., AMC, AIME, USAMO, IMO, Putnam-level experience).
• Deep understanding of advanced problem-solving techniques in algebra, combinatorics, number theory, and geometry.
• Excellent logical reasoning and written communication skills.
• Academic or professional background in mathematics, computer science, physics, or a related field (high school, undergraduate, or graduate level).
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
