Record of research in Earth Materials, Mineralogy, Petrology, Economic Geology or related field.
Ability to teach undergraduate Earth Materials, Mineralogy, Petrology at undergrad and graduate levels.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching diverse student populations.
Evidence of scholarly publication and activity in the applicant's field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate-level Earth Science courses as needed, including Earth Materials, Mineralogy and Petrology.
Mentor undergraduate and Masters-level graduate students in research.
Maintain an active research program leading to peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
Pursue external funding for research through grants and contracts.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and program assessment.
Engage in departmental, college, university, and community service.
