Qualifications

• Master’s degree in geography, earth science, geology, environmental science, or a closely related field.
• Prior college-level teaching experience is required.
• Preferred: experience teaching introductory earth science, physical geography, geology, environmental science, or a related course; ability to provide effective instruction and to communicate course material clearly; support undergraduate student learning; Canvas or similar LMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver GEOG 1710 Earth Science instruction.
• Evaluate student work and maintain required academic records.
• Communicate with students and hold appropriate office hours.
• Comply with departmental and university policies and deadlines.
• Appointment depends on departmental teaching needs and available funding.
