Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Scheduler with experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure the successful execution of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. The Project Scheduler will work closely with the Program Manager (PM), Control Account Managers (CAMs), contractors, and subcontractors to develop, update, and integrate schedules, ensuring alignment with contract deliverables and program objectives.


Responsibilities

Maintain and Revise the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS):

  1. The Scheduler will establish and maintain schedule baselines.
  2. Revise the IMP/IMS based on contract negotiations, internal changes, and updated deliverables or major reviews.
  3. Distribute the IMS to CAMs and incorporate inputs into the schedule processor (e.g., MS Project).

Collaborate on Schedule Development:

  1. Assist in the development of Control Account (CA)/Work package (WP) schedules.
  2. Review CAM status for discrepancies, ensuring schedules are reconciled and accurate.

Traceability and Dependency Management:

  1. Ensure both vertical traceability across all tiers of the IMS, ensuring all activities are aligned with program goals and objectives.
  2. Ensure horizontal dependency of key program activities is tracked by schedule links.
  3. Track key program activities using schedule links to ensure horizontal dependencies are maintained.

Schedule Impact Analysis:

  1. Test and analyze schedule impacts, ensuring all activities support contract-level milestones outlined in the IMP.
  2. Perform a schedule risk assessment on the remaining work.
  3. Review and monitor CAM and subcontractor schedule inputs, analyzing their impact on the IMS baseline and reconcile any discrepancies.
  4. Collaborate with relevant teams to develop corrective action plans to address schedule delays or issues.

Earned Value Management (EVM) Integration:

  1. Transfer relevant schedule data into the EVMS (e.g., Cobra) for all (CAs) to integrate schedules with budgets, ensuring that schedule data supports earned value analysis and reporting.

Schedule Communication:

  1. Ensure timely and accurate distribution of schedule information to the relevant stakeholders.
  2. Facilitate communication between PM, CAMs, subcontractors, and other key personnel to ensure alignment on schedule updates and changes.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling with a focus on Earned Value Management (EVM).
  2. Strong experience with schedule analysis, tracking, and reporting using scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Cobra).
  3. Expertise in managing and revising Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  4. Knowledge of vertical and horizontal traceability within project schedules.
  5. Strong analytical skills to identify schedule impacts and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Proficient with schedule management tools (e.g., MS Project, Cobra, or similar).
  7. DoD and DCMA 14-Point IMS Assessment experience preferred.
  8. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  9. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  10. Must be a US citizen.
