Job summary

Walgreens is hiring Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Technician Apprentice positions in the United States. New and experienced technicians will be trained to use pharmacy systems, assist pharmacists, and ensure accurate prescriptions while delivering a distinctive Walgreens customer

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and other Pharmacy Department duties.
• Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Registers related sales on the cash register and handles cash as required.
• Shows courteous, proactive customer service and helps customers locate products.
